Salvatore Manalo was born on September 11, 1991, in the "suburbs of Portland," Vancouver, Washington. From an early age, he was uprooted and traveled the world as his father was a sailor in the United States Navy. Raised in church, he was constantly surrounded by music and fell in love with the guitar at the early age of 13.
During his high school years in Atsugi, Japan, his obsession with the instrument grew and was surrounded by musicians of the highest caliber, giving birth to his sound while also discovering his passion for singing and songwriting. in 2010, he moved to Boston and attended Berklee College of Music after being awarded a scholarship to further his craft. Around this time, he also began cultivating an online audience which now boasts over 15,000 subscribers on YouTube and over 2 million views total.
After a few semesters, he was faced with the decision to leave school and pursue music on his own in California.
Living and playing around SoCal had its moments, but it was time for him to come home and share his music with the rainy streets of Portland. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign during the summer of 2017, Salvatore's debut EP is set to release January 12, 2018, and is quickly become an artist to watch.
